Terms and Conditions

  By booking an appointment with Caprani Plumbing and Heating you are agreeing to the following  company Terms and Conditions:– 

1. Appointments
Booking Confirmation All appointments are subject to availability and will be confirmed via phone, email, or written correspondence. Emergency call-outs are prioritised and may incur additional charges. All applicable rates and charges will be clearly confirmed at the time of booking. 

2. Emergency Call-Outs
Emergency call-outs are intended to make a situation safe and prevent further damage or risk. These appointments are prioritised and scheduled immediately once confirmed. The emergency call-out charge covers the first hour of labour only. Any additional time required beyond the first hour will be charged at the applicable hourly rate for that day. Standard weekday, weekend, and commercial rates differ. The relevant rate will always be confirmed at the time of booking. Due to the nature of emergency work, it may not always be possible to complete a permanent repair during the initial visit. Completion may be subject to parts availability, further investigation, site conditions, access limitations, or the complexity of the repair. Where full completion is not possible, any further works required will be quoted separately. 

3. Cancellation and Rearrangement Policy
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange any scheduled appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to provide safe and reasonable access at the agreed appointment time, will incur a £50 + VAT cancellation fee. Once an emergency call-out is logged and confirmed, a £50 + VAT cancellation fee will apply if cancelled after confirmation. Emergency call-outs cancelled after an engineer has been dispatched will also incur the £50 + VAT fee.

4. Missed Appointments
If no responsible person is present to provide access at the agreed time, the appointment will be treated as a late cancellation and charged at £50 + VAT. 

5. Charges and Payment
All charges will be confirmed prior to attendance. Labour is charged hourly in full-hour increments from arrival on site until completion. Materials, parts, and equipment supplied are charged separately unless agreed in writing. Payment is due upon completion of works or within 7 days, unless otherwise agreed in writing. In accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, overdue commercial invoices may be subject to statutory interest and recovery costs. Persistent non-payment may result in suspension of works and/or refusal of future appointments.

6. Certifications
Gas Safe certificates and compliance documentation will be issued electronically once full payment has been received. Printed copies are available upon request for £5 per copy. 

7. Warranty
All workmanship is covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of completion. This warranty applies to defects arising directly from our workmanship only. Excludes manufacturer defects, wear and tear, misuse, third-party interference, lack of maintenance, and pre-existing faults. Warranty is void if any third party alters or attempts to repair completed works without prior written consent. 

8. Materials
Ownership All supplied materials remain the property of Caprani Plumbing and Heating until full payment has been received. 

9. Engineer Arrival Times
Attendance times cannot be guaranteed due to traffic, job overruns, emergencies, or circumstances beyond our control. Customers will be notified as soon as reasonably practicable in the event of delay. 

10. Limitation of Liability
Caprani Plumbing and Heating shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from delays or circumstances beyond our control. Total liability shall be limited to the value of the services provided. Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. 

11. Agreement 

By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
